Despite it being something that most of out members think is the last thing they'd ever possibly even consider when they join, Born Survivor has become our 'thing'.

After 3 of us joined another team in 2014, we entered a team of 25 in 2015, then 106 in 2016 and the epic 164 at Born Survivor 2017. We took 2018 off before 50 of us did 2019. 2020 and 2021 were COVIDed off and we were immediately back with 52 of us in 2022 and 50 in 2023!

So, we'll be back in 2024, ready to go again - will you?

For those that don’t know, Born Survivor is at Capesthorne Hall, near Macclesfield, on Saturday 27th April 2024 (about 10am start).

It’s 10k across the grounds of the Hall with 31 obstacles – challenging but doable. A team event. No one left behind. An amazing team dynamic and great fun. It’s a great event and an amazing experience. Something to be proud of yourself for doing and something to train for and focus on over the coming months as well.

It’s not easy, but it’s not impossible either. Go at you own pace. We’ve had a big range of sizes, shapes and fitness levels on previous teams.

We split into different groups of similar speeds and everyone goes at their own pace - we just start and finish all together!

If you want to walk past any of the obstacles, that's absolutely fine.

The distance is easier than a 10k run as it's run / walk a few hundred metres, wait a few minutes for an obstacle to clear, do (or walk round) obstacle, repeat.

No one gets left behind.
