I was listening to the radio the other day and a song by Jason Donovan came on.
His first solo number one (I was surprised, on checking, to see that he had two others, along with ‘Especially For You’ with Kylie and three other solo Top 10s).
“Too Many Broken Hearts”
And a particularly line jumped out at me;
“You give me one good reason to leave me. I’ll give you ten good reasons to stay!”
And it jumped into my head that similar could be done with reasons for exercise and better eating.
If I asked someone to list every reason for and against that, then I would wager that the following would happen;
– Quick to come up with a few reasons not to, but run out of steam pretty quick
– Slower start on reasons to do that, but keep going a lot longer
So, here’s a few reasons not to exercise and eat better;
– Time (although this one doesn’t apply everywhere we might think as there are better food choices that can take the same or less time)
– Money (similar to above – there are better food choices that cost the same or less and exercise that can be free or cost less than what else we might do with that time instead)
– Boredom
– Inconvenience
I’m running out of steam already.
Here’s some reasons to exercise and eat better;

So, next time we’re tempted by one good reason to skip workouts and to eat poorly (and a bit of that is ok remember, it’s the overall balance) – then remember, there are (at least) ten good reasons to exercise and eat better.
Much love,
