This time tomorrow, we’ll have just completed our first sessions back in the club.
We will have RISEn out of the flames of lockdown.
I’m excited.
I’m also a little apprehensive.
It’s going to be a period of adjustment.
A ‘new normal’.
One that will evolved over time.
We’ve taken every precaution that can be taken.
I honestly believe that there will be nowhere safer to exercise anywhere.
Indoors and not on your own anyway.
And I know for a fact there’s no where that gets better results.
And has a more welcoming and inclusive dynamic.
But, still, it’s a big step.
I wanted to use this opportunity to thank you dear reader.
If you just read these blogs and find them useful, that, at the very least makes them worth writing.
If you’ve continued as a full member throughout lockdown, that has helped me and the coaches pay our bills and feed our kids.
Or, wherever you are inbetween, you’ve helped.
It all adds up.
I bought sole ownership of the business two days before we went into lockdown.
Makes a good story, doesn’t it?
This could’ve bankrupted me.
But, we’ve come through it strong, with your help.
All the paid staff in full.
Along with our rent, rates and bills.
Supported more people than ever before.
The sessions, the socials, the challenges and more.
I’ve sent more PMs than most people will in a lifetime 😉
Redeveloped the club and the programme (in more ways than you know yet).
All while “closed”.
It’s not been easy, I’ll be honest.
Wife working from home.
A three year old who needs fairly constant attention.
Home schooling a 9, 10 and 11 year old.
But knowing that what we’ve been doing has helped has helped us massively.
Lockdown has been hard.
For all of us in different ways.
But, for now, I just have one question for you:
Are
You
Ready
To
RISE?
Much love,
Jon ‘Jack Bauer’ Hall
