I keep hearing an advert on the radio.

For some sort of money saving website or similar.

Talking about the cost of living crisis and helping people get their bills down.

Which is great.

It’s clearly a business, so they’ll be making their profit somewhere, but if the overall cost to the end user goes down, then that’s all good.

Is the final line of the advert that I keep noticing though.

It’s the one in the blog title.

“51% of customers could save up to £331.60.”

I don’t really know what that means.

The word “could” suggests it probably won’t happen for most.

I think if one customer would save that amount and 51% saved a penny or more………..

Then what had been promised there would have been delivered.

I think the phrase is designed to sound better than it probably will end up being for most people.

To create some degree of an unrealistic expectation as to the benefit that will be achieved.

As often happens in adverts.

Especially in the fitness industry.

It’s a regular occurrence that I see adverts for supplements or exercise equipment……..

Showing the lean, toned physiques of fitness models……..

Who I’m pretty sure didn’t get to look like that by using said supplement or equipment.

Who, in some cases, are clearly heavy users of anabolic steroids.

Who’ve also eaten and trained in a way that the vast majority of the population would be unwilling or unable to do.

Or something selling a diet or exercise programme solely by showing the very best results anyone has ever achieved on it.

This isn’t going to change, of course.

It’s just something for you to be aware of.

And to take into account in your choice of what you invest in.

Personally, I would want to see multiple examples of people who I consider to be somewhat like me……

Who have achieved the results that I desire……..

By using that particular thing (we have hundreds of these all over the internet – apply now at www.myrise.co.uk/apply if you’d like to get those results you desire, with a Money Back Guarantee).

Much love,
