One of the things that pains Matt and I the most is the level of confusion as to what it a healthy diet.
Every week we meet people who feel they eat healthily (as they do, by the standard definition in this country) but are frustrated by how hard they find it to lose and keep weight.
There are two definite truisms for healthy diet:
- A diet that causes people to lose body fat isn’t necessarily healthy
- A diet that causes people to gain body fat definitely isn’t healthy
I’ve had this discussion with countless people over the years, but I stand by it.
Gaining body fat isn’t good for the body – all research backs that up.
So a diet that is causing someone to gain body cannot be healthy overall.
So, if you have more body fat than you would like and you think your diet is healthy, perhaps it’s time for a rethink?
If you’re not 100% sure what is good (for you) reply to this, letting me know what you usually eat and I’ll let you know what you can change to improve your health and body fat levels.
Much love,
Jon “Used to be unhealthy” Hall
P.S. The latest rumor about us is that the ‘before and after’ photos on the site and in the emails aren’t real people and that Alex, who is mentioned quite a few times is my girlfriend.
My girlfriend is called Alex, but is a different one. And all the before and after photos and the stories are 100% genuine – you’ll find these guys interacting in our facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/360761254014069) if you want to check it out and you can see a screen shot of a few of them verifying their ‘authenticity’ below:
