Yesterday I went with my Mum and my two boys to watch Leicester Tigers vs. Saracens (rugby union if you don’t know).
And, through his local rugby club, I managed to get my youngest involved in the pre-match ‘Shirt Shake’.
So he got to walk out on to the pitch just before the game started……….
Infront of 22,000 people…………
And help wave a massive ‘shirt’.
Which was pretty cool!
It reminded me of when we were at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow a couple of years ago.
It was my eldest’s 6th birthday.
So I thought I’d see if I could arrange something cool for him.
I went for a wander and spied a lady with a clipboard.
She pointed me towards someone else.
And a few minutes later we’d arranged that Oli was to take on Chris Hoy in a ‘Beat The Sports Star’ competition.
They both had to name as many Commonwealth countries as they could in a minute.
And Oli (with a little help) won.
And got to present the match ball live on BBC for the St Lucia vs. Barbados netball game.
And had the entire crowd of 5,000 sing him ‘Happy Birthday’.
Pretty awesome birthday surprise, I’m sure you’ll agree?

With both of those things, neither would have happened if I hadn’t asked someone for some help.
No way could I personally sort such a thing.
But finding someone who can?
And asking them nicely?
Not that difficult.
But it’s human nature to try and do everything ourselves.
To soldier on by ourselves.
Even when help is at hand.
It’s very easy to, essentially, chose to fail at something, rather than ask for help.
The thing is though, when we ask nicely, help is usually forthcoming.
Our brains are just very good at remembering the few times it wasn’t.
And, without even realising it, we subconsciously use that as a reason to stop asking.
We all do it.
Usually without realising.
Thinking “I should be able to sort this by myself!”
Shoulda, woulda coulda.
The last words of a fool?
We find ourselves doing it all the time………
Making mistakes and not getting progress with our own training, eating, business knowledge, etc.
Wasting months and months when we could have been doing so much better.
Before remembering that there are plenty of people who can help us.
So, if you’re already a member with us and your results aren’t as you’d like………..
Hit reply and talk to us.
We’re here to help 🙂
If you’ve not checked us out yet and doing it by yourself hasn’t given you the body, energy, health, etc you’d like……….
As it hasn’t with 95% of the population………..
Then this link and our find-out-more meeting next week is your next port of call –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting 🙂
Nothing wrong with asking for help.
The most successful people at anything do 🙂
Much love,
