A second way that we might be making inappropriate choices is in our selection of intensity when exercising.
If we’re looking to make some changes to our body’s strength, fitness or muscular size and shape (which, alongside body fat loss, is what toning is)……….
Then we do need to give the body a degree of challenge.
Not crawling out and unable to walk the next day, sure.
But something that will make the body feel the need to adapt.
An appropriate level of challenge.
Weather that be the version of an exercise, the weight used, how long we do it for or some other variable.
An inappropriate selection of intensity when exercising (too light, too few, too easy, etc) will just mean that it doesn’t do all that much.
As always, Goldilocks is key.
Not too easy, not too hard!
