I saw a banner for a local gym the other day.
It said the title to this blog;
“Are you willing to give whatever it takes?”
And my immediate thought was “No”.
Sounds too much to me.
And I’m someone who’s exercised regularly for over two decades.
I see this kind of messaging a lot in the fitness industry.
Things that actually put people off.
“Whatever it takes” feels way too much to the vast majority of people.
Alongside our work, family and personal life.
Of course, anything worthwhile takes some effort.
And that’s not automatically a big amount of stuff.
But that’s not how it sounds.
It sounds like an awful lot.
Too much.
It reinforces the idea that getting fitter means doing loads.
It’s not something that we can do with everything that we’ve got going on.
So we do nothing.
But there’s good news.
Pretty good results usually don’t require as much as we often think they do.
World class results do, sure.
But getting down to a body fat level that we’re happy with….
Looking better in our favourite clothes….
Having more energy, less aches and pains and better mood….
Can all be done without having to ‘give everything’.
It just requires an average that takes it in the right direction.
Not everyday perfect.
Let’s be honest, no days “perfect”.
But enough reasonably good decisions to make changes over time.
If ‘giving it your all’ and ‘everything it takes’ feels too much (like it does for most)…..
You don’t need everything. Just enough (with proven support and a Money Back Guarantee at www.myrise.co.uk/apply)
