Have you ever felt that you’ve “fallen off the wagon”?

That you “self sabotage”?

That you’ve been “Stop – start”?

“All or nothing”?

That you need to “get back to it”?

Told yourself that you “should” or “ought to” or “need to” be doing things that you’re not?

Chances are what you’ve been doing is………………

Trying to change the outputs……………

Without changing the inputs!

We use willpower to try and force ourselves to produce a different outcome from the same ‘ingredients’.

And willpower gets us so far.

It’s a finite resource.

Only needed for stuff we perceive that we don’t want to do.

If we change what goes in, then what what comes out the other end stands a better chance of changing.

Less of everyone whinging about how cr@p the world is on social media and WhatsApp groups with mates…………..

More of this kind of stuff that challenges how we see the world.

Less food that might give you an initial momentary ‘buzz’ , but drains you of energy overall………………

More fresh, nourishing stuff that makes you feel good.

Less sitting down………….

More moving our bodies.

Less flashing 30 frames a second into a our brains late at night………..

More recovery through sleep.

Trying to get different outputs with the same inputs is always going to be hard work.

Change the inputs and we stand a much better chance.
