So – last week I was compared to both a drug dealer and a preacher.

An interesting pair of comparisons I thought.

I was chatting to Annie, a new ninja at RISE Macc the other day before a session.

It turns out Annie is a preacher at local church.

She mentioned the article I wrote last Monday about ‘The excuses we are taught to make’ and how I’d mentioned that I didn’t want to sound like I was preaching.

As I said, it turns out Annie does preach (in a good way) to her congregation and she’s started using some of the stuff I talk about in these emails in these sermons.

Which is proper cool 🙂

And, there’s the drug dealer thing.

I’ve had several new 28 Dayers comment to me that they’re finding what we do surprisingly addictive – “like a drug”.

I met Diane, a new member at Buxton for the first time last Friday morning.

She was buzzing on her new “high” despite it being half seven in the morning and told me she’s getting hooked.

Many report that it’s not only the first time they’ve not absolutely hated exercise, but that they’re shocked that they are enjoying it and looking forward to it.

I’ve even had people liken the 28 Day trial we do to a dealer giving out a first few hits for free to get people hooked.

That’s cool by me – it’s a drug I’ve been hooked on for over a decade and will, hopefully, be for the rest of my life.

If you’re going to get hooked on anything then exercise and a healthy lifestyle is surely the best addiction there is.

Much love, Jon “Huggy Bear” Hall
