Longer term readers of this blog may have noticed that I talk about “busyness” a lot.

Maybe some are getting tired of it?

But I will continue to ‘bang on about it’.

Because it is, by far, the most common reason that people give, for not making the changes that they’d like to their body and lives.

Because helping people make changes to their bodies and lives is what I do.

So I have a question that may help some.

Are you busy?

Or do you have a full schedule?

Because those two things aren’t automatically the same.

In the same way that tracking someone’s eating can be invaluable for helping them make tactical changes to that………

A detailed breakdown of how someone is currently assigning that finite resource of time is the best way to helping make changes there.

I would say that in at least 95% of cases when I try to help people who feel that they’re “too busy”……..

There is little to no schedule to see.

“It’s all in my head” being the usual response.

And I get that.

That was the way that I rolled for many years.

Until I realised that I got more done and achieved the results that are important to me more by more structured scheduling.

Accepting that “going with the flow” isn’t the answer if ‘the flow’ is taking you somewhere you don’t want to go.

Just as if we have no detail of what we’ve been eating, we are, at best, estimating……..

If we have no detail of how we’ve been assigning our time, that’s little more than guessing.

So let’s drop that guesswork.

Add a level of precision in.

Even if it makes us feel a bit uncomfortable (it will).

Find out if we just “busy”……..

Or if we really had a full schedule.

And, if it’s not quite as full as we thought, what changes can we make.

www.myrise.com/time will help you with this 🙂

Much love,

P.S. I have also made the programme at RISE as time efficient as possible. Jump in at www.myrise.co.uk/apply and you’ll be surprised at the changes you can make that take little to no time.
