I’ve had a few people ask me recently if I’m worried about the impact of the recent developments in artificial intelligence.

And how that might affect my business.

The answer is “Not in the slightest”.

Because, from what I can see, the developments don’t actually help solve the problem that the vast majority of us have with getting in shape.

Sure, AI can write us a workout programme or a meal plan.

But we’ve been able to get work out programmes and meal plans for free on the internet for over two decades now.

And whilst AI versions might have some extra degree of personalisation, I really don’t see it making any difference to the vast majority of people.

What most people who come to us want is more personal interaction, not less.

In person coaching and direction.

Accountability and follow up from real people (it’s www.myrise.co.uk/apply if you want the above rather than more computer stuff you’ll ignore).

AI will have its place, as it will in every industry.

And we might even find it helps with some of the more ‘standard’ aspects of what we do.

But I genuinely believe that any coach who blames their lack of business on AI isn’t a very good coach.

Much love,

Jon ‘Living on a farm in the 90s, AI meant something else’ Hall
