Life can be challenging.

Doubly so at the moment, we know.

Hard at times.

Maybe plain downright pretty crappy.

But, probably always somewhat challenging.

There’s always stuff to do.

Even at the best of times.

Demands on our time, energy and enthusiasm.

We get that!

The key, perhaps, is not to try and avoid all challenges.

That’s impossible.

It’s to select, where possible, the right ones.

Avoiding these ‘right’ challenges can create the ‘wrong’ ones over time.

When we avoid the challenges of fitting in workouts………..

Of pushing ourselves that little bit more than in the last workout……….

Of making better food choices……….

Of learning how to track our food………….

Of actually tracking our food for a few days at least………..

Of stopping eating when we’ve had enough but still fancy some more…………

We create those ‘wrong’ challenges further down the line.

The body we don’t like the look and feel of.

Having to do it with the lights off.

Not doing it as much as we might like.

Aches, pains, bloatedness.

Illness.

Ill health.

And so on.

Maybe not all of these, sure.

But at least some, I would imagine.

And an increased chance of any or all.

We can’t avoid all challenges in life.

We can just pick more of the right ones!

Much love,

Jon ‘Anneka’ Hall
