One thing that people are often surprised about when they first start with us is how we’ll freely admit that the ‘what’ of what we do isn’t the most important thing.
After all, by the time people get to us, they’ll have probably tried several ways to lose weight, get fit, etc.
All of which will work if done consistently for long enough.
For you to have heard of a diet or exercise programme it must have worked for a reasonable number of people in the past.
Ultimately, everything works on paper.
Sure, there’s more ‘advanced’ ways to get there quicker and, hopefully, with less effort.
But people’s reason for not being in the shape they’d like to be is rarely that they don’t know what to.
Especially nowadays.
We are just a quick google away from a method of getting in better shape which will work.
Millions of pages.
Millions of videos.
We’ve been able to do it for free forever.
But especially for the last 10 years.
What we do isn’t so much about the ‘what’.
Although that is, of course, important.
It’s about the ‘why’ and the ‘how’.
The beliefs, thoughts and mindsets that stand behind our actions.
The ways to do what needs to be done in our already busy and challenging lives.
Despite the constant challenges.
All the things that make it more difficult than it could be.
Beware anyone that tries to sell you just the ‘what’.
The telling you what to do.
It’ll be something you’ve already heard dressed up in a new outfit.
Or something so advanced it’s pointless trying when you’ve been struggling with a simpler version.
So, rest assured, it’s not more of the ‘what’ that we need.
We’ve had tonnes (too much arguably) of that for free at our fingertips for a decade.
It’s the ‘why’ and ‘how’.
That’s where we need to be looking (check myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you’ve been trying to do it for free and it hasn’t worked for you and you’re ready for a bit of professional assistance) 🙂
Much love,
