I heard a pretty cool word the other day.

Technically it’s a portmanteau.

A blending of two or more words that combines both the sounds and meanings of the originals.

Blissipline.

Having the discipline to focus on what makes you feel good.

Because, sometimes, that’s what it takes.

Longer term at least.

Feeling better immediately is pretty easy.

Food can do it.

Alcohol too.

Maybe something stronger.

Gossiping perhaps?

Doomscrolling.

Binge watching.

These all help us feel better.

For a while.

But possibly contribute towards us feeling worse, longer term.

It’s an unfortunate fact of life that many of the things that make us feel better longer term aren’t quite so acute.

They don’t have that immediate benefit to quite the same extent.

The list of things above don’t really require much discipline to stick to.

It’s pretty easy.

The stuff that makes us feel better overall often does.

But it’s worth it.

In 21 years in the Fitness Industry, I’ve never had anyone make those changes who hasn’t felt better overall for it (it’s www.myrise.co.uk/apply if you’re ready to feel better with guaranteed help from a proven system).

Not a single person who’s regretted what they’ve done or missed the things they now do less of or have stopped.

But, it does take discipline.

Blissipline if you will.

Maybe a way of seeing it that makes it much more likely to happen?

Much love,

Jon ‘Just learned that chortle is a portmanteau of chuckle and snort’ Hall
