On Friday, my eldest has one of his little pals for a sleepover.
So we did a bit of cinema and Lazer Quest.
‘Hotel Transylvania 2’ we saw.
Twas good if you’re looking for something to do with the kids.
As we’d come straight from school and it wasn’t worth going home, we got there before the official start time.
Which, of course, meant we sat through the ads.
No biggie!
But I heard a parent a few rows up saying something along the lines of “It’s always the bloody same – we have to sit through 20 minutes of adverts.”
Now, I couldn’t help but think “If it’s the same EVERY time, why keep doing it?”
If something annoys you, why keep putting yourself in that same position?
When it can be avoided.

Tis the same with the olde weight loss journey.
Some aspects of it are annoying, sure.
The fact that some people seem to find it far easier.
Have better ‘genes’.
We all know those people who seem to be able to eat what they like and stay in shape.
And it can be frustrating that we can’t always eat and live the way we might like to and have the body, energy levels, sleep, sex drive, health, etc that we might like.
But if we choose to eat and live a certain way and then gain weight………
In the same way as we have before……….
Should we really be surprised or annoyed about it?
It just is what it is!
Someone else has it easier?
It just is what it is!
We then choose to eat and live a certain way and then gain weight………
In the same way as we have before……….
Should we really be surprised or annoyed about it?
You know what I mean?
Somethings are just like that.
No point getting annoyed by them over and over again.
Won’t change a thing.
We just need to do what we need to do to get what we want to get.
When we realise and accept that, it get a whole lot easier!!

P.S. Similar message to Friday I know, but it’s one that bears repeating!
