According to the news, today is the most depressing day of the year.
“Blue Monday” they call it.
The combination of poor weather, money issues after Christmas, broken New Years resolutions and the challenges of the return to work all, apparently, peak today.
Which I get.
Life isn’t always easy.
If you went on the Instagram accounts of most FitPros, you’d think it was though.
That life was an endless round of six-packs, Olympic lifts and happiness.
It may be for those guys.
But, knowing a lot of them, it isn’t.
They just feel the need to hide behind this ‘FitPro Facade’ they think will attract clients.
So we get that many of you may well feel a “bit sh!t” today.
I woke at 3.30am this morning and couldn’t drop off, so am hardly 100% myself.
“Feeling a bit sh!t” isn’t anything to be ashamed of.
But……….
It’s something we can try and reduce at least.
We get people may not feel like exercising a lot of the time.
I don’t always.
And nearly everyone that joins us feels that way to start (www.myrise.co.uk/apply if that sounds like you).
But I know, from both our own experience, and that of hundreds that I’ve worked with………
That you’ll feel more like it having done some.
And that the body responds just as well even when you’re not “feeling like it”.
I get that healthy eating isn’t always something people fancy doing.
I , again, know from experience, that a lot of it is just changing habits.
And that people ALWAYS feel better when they change those habits.
And that it’s more than worth the effort.
I’m not going to offer you “24-7” happiness.
I’m not telling you life will be perfect.
But, if by reading these and doing some of the stuff in them……….
I can get you to “Blue Monday” next year……….
Saying to yourself “I tell you what, I don’t feel anywhere near as sh!t as I did last year”……….
Then I’d be pretty happy with that 🙂
Much love,
Jon ‘Dysfunktional Uncle’ Hall
