Who remembers Meatloaf?

Not what they always seemed to have for tea in Roseanne (I’ve barely watched any tele since my first child was born, so all my references are very dated).

The singer.

“Bat out of hell” and all that.

He’d do “anything for love” if you remember?

“But I won’t do that”.

——– The ‘that’ is, supposedly, the “screwing around” mentioned a line or two earlier ———

I’m often reminded of this song.

When chatting to new members (or having my brain picked at social events – although that’s been a while).

“I’ll do anything” they say.

“Just tell me what to do”.

With regards to losing weight.

And, sadly, from experience, I know there’s a reasonable chance they won’t do the easiest, highest return on investment that there is that I’m about to mention to them.

You know what I’m going to say don’t you?

Tracking.

Spending a minute or two per meal punching what we’re having into an app.

Can get to seconds when we’ve used it for a while and have some of our more regular choices in the ‘history’.

I get that it’s a bit of pain.

An inconvenience.

But only a bit.

And it’s powerful.

Helps us questions decisions.

Discover some tactical substitutions.

Plan ahead to make the day and week work.

Huge ROI for the time involved.

To not do it is to say;

“I’ll do anything to lose weight…… But I won’t spend a minute or two a few times a day punching what I’m eating into an app”

Much love,

Jon ‘Michael Lee Aday’ Hall

P.S. It never ceases to amaze me how many FitPros “sell” what they do on their complicated and hard to follow “system”. We make it as simple and easy as possible. Check myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if that makes sense to you.
