I’m writing this blog at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.
I’m watching my youngest son do his swimming lesson.
I’ve just overheard a disagreement in the changing rooms.
Between someone who was wearing blue shoes on their feet……..
And some other people who weren’t.
The person with the blue shoes on was getting annoyed at those without for making a mess on the changing room floor.
And those without the blue shoes were trying to justify their decision.
The main justification was that other people don’t do it.
And I get that.
I put the blue shoes on every time.
But do sometimes wonder why I bother.
But then I remember that I don’t agree with others’ justifications along the same lines.
I’d probably have more respect if they just said that they didn’t care.
That’s cool.
That’s their opinion.
They’re entitled to it.
Making our decisions based on the choices and behaviours of others is tempting in many areas.
Justifying our eating and drinking choices because “that’s what everyone does”……….
Takes us out of a position of power where we could make changes to that.
Life gets much simpler……..
When we just make our own decisions based on what we think is the right thing to do for us and those that we care about………
Rather than basing it on the actions of others.
Much love,

P.S. If others in your life don’t take care of their health, fitness, mood and mental energy………. that doesn’t need to affect if you do it or not! If you’d like to make some changes to those things, it’ll be most likely by going here and applying to our 4 Week Transformation Programme —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply
