I saw the title to this blog as a question on Facebook the other day;
“Can you really class yourself as successful if you can’t control what you put in your mouth?”
And I saw something similar from a very well known online FitPro the other day.
Pretty quick question to answer if you ask me;
“Yes”
Firstly the question specifically mentions that it’s them classing what is “successful”.
So, surely anyone can class themselves as successful for any reason(s) they like?
But, ultimately, what we eat, and the knock on effects of that, are only one aspect of life.
An important one, sure.
But only one.
Many times over the years, I’ve seen super in shape people take the p*ss out of people who are less fit, carrying extra weight, etc………
Where I would say the the second person is way more successful in every other aspect of their life.
I’ve seen people who are, shall we say, hardly smashing life in general……..
But who love the gym and have low body fat and defined muscles…….
Mock people who are doing considerably better in their career and personal life……..
But are perhaps carrying a few extra stone of body fat and are not as fit as they might want to be.
In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever met anyone who has every single aspect of their life, exactly where they’d like it.
But what I do find often really changes when people finally “get a hang” on their body / fitness / health / energy……..
Is that it shifts from being ‘another thing’……..
To ‘the thing’ that underpins everything else.
It’s not something that stops them achieving other goals……..
It’s something that helps them achieve them.
It’s not something that takes away……..
It’s something that adds in (jump in at www.myrise.co.uk/apply when you’re ready to add in to your life)
