Take a chimp.

Not literally.

Unless you really want to, I suppose.

Put that chimp back if you were just blindly following what you’d read.

This chimp is brilliant at cracking nuts.

He’s got the best technique going.

Pop him in with a group of chimps with an inferior nut cracking technique.

And, I can guarantee, within hours to days, SuperNutCrackingChimp will have changed to the less effective technique.

This has been shown in studies.

With actual chimps.

And different animals and different ‘skills’.

We have an innate desire to fit in and follow the herd more often than not.

If we hang out with people who eat lots of crappy food, talk about “treating” themselves and how they “deserve it” and / or don’t exercise regularly……….

Then we’ll probably end up doing the same.

“We are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with” is an expression I rather like.

Now that doesn’t mean you need to never see those that might ‘flabotage’ you ever again.

Just spend some more time with those that are doing the thing you want to do.

If you’re a member and aren’t feeling motivated to come to Sessions at the moment, then come to Sessions – being with people who are feeling like it (or, at least, doing it) will make you feel like it way quicker than sitting at home will.

If you’re still looking for those people to drag your average up, this is the link you need to click to take the next step –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply

Much love,
