Very occasionally people tell us that they don't feel something has been made clear to them.


Usually this is one of three things;


That the Money Back Guarantee is satisfaction on completion of a programme and doesn't cover dropping out
That the initial 8 week 'Great in 8 Programme' will automatically upgrade to the ongoing 'RISE Together Programme' after the 8 weeks unless we hear otherwise from a member
That memberships can only be cancelled by filling the form in at www.myrise.co.uk/cancel. And that no other form of attempted cancellation, without this form being filled in, can be accepted.


The following shows the steps we have taken to make these points clear at various stages:

Pre call read

When we book a call to discuss the programme before starting we send a PDF on WhatsApp with some information on.


One section covers the following:

THERE ARE T&Cs BUT NO MINIMUM TIE IN DURATION. IT'S 8 WEEKS TO START THEN IT WILL ROLL ON AUTOMATICALLY MONTHLY UNLESS CANCELLED.


WHAT'S THIS MONEY BACK GUARANTEE?

THAT YOU'LL LOVE IT AND THINK IT'S AWESOME - COMPLETE THE 8 WEEKS AND AREN'T SUPER GLAD THAT YOU DID, THEN YOU'RE COVERED 🙂


This wording on this PDF has changed slightly over the years but please check your WhatsApp history for what it said when you first applied to the programme.

Initial phone call

The exact content of each call will vary person to person but we are always willing to answer any and all questions that someone is unsure about from the information they have received before.


All calls are automatically backed up online so please let us know if you would like to check the recording for what was covered.

Post joining email

On joining, we will send an email which confirms a number of things, amongst them how membership works.


Again the exact content of this email has been tweaked over the years, so please check yours (Subject Line: Let's do this) for what yours said but it has usually been along the lines of;


If we don't hear otherwise in the meantime, you'll upgrade to the full 'RISE Together Programme' on DATE - this is where the real results come as a motivating start transitions into long term change.

We hope that you'll be with us for a long time but if, for any reason, you need to cancel, we need a month's notice and you can do that at www.myrise.co.uk/change. If you decide you only want to do the 'Great in 8' and not go on to the full and lasting results the 'RISE Together Programme' brings, please go to that link before DATE. Unless we hear otherwise in the meantime, a pro rata payment for £XX for the rest of MONTH will go out on DATE and then monthly payments of £XX on the first of the month from the following month until we hear otherwise.


Note: The period cut off for cancelling memberships was changed (with one month's notice given) to one month's notice on 1st August 2022.

Confirmation of T&Cs on first use of app

When people first use the app, it will ask them to fill in a medical questionnaire and to confirm acceptance of the T&Cs (linked).


There is a tick box that has to be selected to confirm "I accept the T&Cs emailed to me on joining (and show at www.myrise.co.uk/terms ) - particularly that this is a rolling, ongoing membership and that future payments will be taken after the initial 8 weeks and continuously thereafter until cancelled (details explained on joining email)." - this is not hidden away but is clearly displayed on that medical questionnaire page and this can only be submitted after acceptance of this.
