One of my old wrestling chums has just written his first book – ‘The SuperStar Body’.
As the first ever British World Heavyweight Champion and with an awesome physique, he’s well placed to offer some words of wisdom.
He also looks like me.
Just a younger, more handsome, more muscular and more successful me.
Git! 😉
I made the error of introducing the now wife to him 18 months ago.
Possibly an error!
Anyway, it was cool to see his outlook on training, eating and life in general is very similar to our philosophy and the way we do things.
I particularly liked, and am now going to steal, a phrase he used when talking about ‘weight’.
About how much someone actually weighs isn’t important.
About how they look and feel is what really matters.
He said:
“I have never heard a guy notice a hot girl and say “wow, look at her, she must only weigh 110lbs!”
“Similarly, I’ve never heard a girl say “I used to think Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was hot until I found out he’s obese” (his BMI would probably put him in the ‘morbidly obese’ range).
We sometimes feel that ‘weight’ is kind of what we have to ‘put above the door’ to get people in.
Because that’s the language they’ve been taught to use to express what they really want.
It’s how you look and feel that are important really.
Never forget that 🙂
Much love,
