It’s a regular conversation that I have with people who express that they’ve been too busy to exercise…………

That I ask if they schedule their workouts.

I get some “Yes”es and I get some “No”s.

If they say “Yes”, I’ll normally ask them when they schedule the work outs.

And the answer usually is “That same day”.

They booked it in on the app and, possibly, popped in their diary when they knew they’d be able to make it.

Which, I suppose, is better than nothing.

But, let’s be honest, scheduling something just before it happens, doesn’t really count.

That’s just “fitting it in”.

Which, as always, is fine

Until it isn’t.

All my workouts in the week are on a repeat schedule from now until the end of time.

Sometimes they get moved.

Sometimes I change the planned timings for them going forwards.

Sometimes, I’ll be honest, they don’t happen.

But they’re in there now.

As is everything else I intend to do on a regular basis.

And, because of that, those workouts (and everything else) are way more likely to happen than if I just try to fit them in on the day.

I don’t think many people would disagree that our health, mood and mental health and ability to turn up in the world as the best version of ourselves is one of the most important things in our lives.

But, if we’re scheduling other things and not those things………..

Then we’re not treating it like it is.

Get your workouts in your diary.

Possibly the other things that you’re struggling to do as well.

They can be rearranged.

They might not even happen.

But if you’re not scheduling in the first place, you’re massively increasing the chance of them not happening (and if you’re not clicking this link, you’re massively increasing the chance of you not getting the results you desire. Don’t start thinking “I’ll leave it till January” now when this is probably the most beneficial time to make some changes –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply)

Much love,
