A massive part of my job is discussing with people potential plans for what to do to achieve the results that they desire.
A pretty regular question I might ask is “What are the easiest things you can change that would help you with…….?”
And a common response to that is “I know what I need to do, I just need to do it”.
And I’ve got a couple of observations about that sentiment that I’ll make over the next few days.
The thing is………
Everyone “knows what they need to do”.
In over two decades of doing this kind of thing………
And in nearly four and half decades of being a human………
I don’t think I’ve met a single person who hasn’t got the slightest clue about how to eat better and exercise more than they are now.
Sure, there’s always more to learn.
Better methods.
Higher return on investment activities.
Easier wins.
But it’s a powerful realisation that pretty much everyone ever who didn’t do it, knew roughly what to do.
That was not the issue.
At the very least this will hopefully help us realise that approaching it the same way as last time isn’t the answer (and there’s a much better way to be found via www.myrise.co.uk/apply)
