For those of you that missed it, we had the latest RISE social this Saturday.
Go-Karting and night out in Buxton.
Photos here for anyone that’s not seen them yet – Karting – Night out.
The photographic evidence of Carl and Matt doing a drunken 2am ‘single leg slut drop dance off’ hasn’t appeared yet.
We’re sorting next month’s social today – Skiing at Chill Factor-e and VIP night out in Manchester 🙂

So, Emma, one of our Macc ninjas, very kindly gave me a lift too and from Buxton on Saturday night.
On the way over we also had Amanda and Chrissie, but they were later lost to the Buxton night life (Level 2).
Emma, bless her, is a little bonkers.
By her own admission.
As she flinged her car around the tight bends of the Cat and Fiddle though, a few comments were made that slowing down a touch might be in order.
Several years ago someone said to me “Isn’t it funny how everyone who drives faster than you is crazy and everyone who drives slower in a doddery old fool?”.
Tis true – we all like to think the way we do things is spot on.
And any deviation from that isn’t quite the right way to do it.
It’s the same way we label ways of eating.
We still get people, before they really know what we do say they’ve heard we recommend a high protein diet.
Because it involves more protein than they currently consume.
What we recommend is a ‘balanced diet’.
A good mixture of protein, health fats and natural carbs.
The diet we successfully evolved on for millions of years.
Most people come to us on what could be called the ‘Mega-High-Carb diet’.
Or you could call it the ‘Diabetes Diet’.
Or even the ‘Heart Disease Diet’ or ‘Cancer Diet’.
Just because another way of eating might be more in one direction (my girlfriend’s favourite ‘band’) than the way someone currently eats, doesn’t make it extreme.
Remember – what we recommend is a ‘balanced diet’.
And what we’re really all about is helping support people on a journey of changing their habits, lifestyle and thought processes rather than just telling them what to do.

There’s been a lot in the news recently about a book from 42 years ago that warned us all.
That fat wasn’t as bad as it was being made out to be.
And what the real worry should be.
Tomorrow, we’ll tell you about that and when Colin, one of our ninjas, took a train to see the author.
Much love,
Jon ‘Extreme Ironing’ Hall and Matt ‘My Dad advised me to never learn how to iron’ Nicholson
