Whilst there are numerous reasons that we might partake in regular exercise and make better food choices……….. personal training in Macclesfield.
Those decisions are largely a means to an end.
We do them for the benefits they bring.
If exercise was done purely for the enjoyment of actually doing it and didn’t have any positive impact on my energy levels, health, fitness and body………
I wouldn’t do it.
If I could get all the benefits that I desired by mainlining cheesecake and vodka, I’d be well up for that instead.
These choices are a way of us getting somewhere (or at least considerably closer or potentially further away from somewhere else).
It’s a journey.
Like taking a train.
We wouldn’t get on a train if we didn’t want to get where it was going, would we?
But imagine a train journey that we dislike so much that we keep getting off and going home.
Only to have to start the journey again at some point.
And yet we keep getting back on that same particular train.
Probably because we’ve heard it’s the quickest one there.
It’ll get us from where we are to where we want to be as fast as possible.
The “best way”.
Which is understandably appealing.
A slower train is less tempting.
But, if we find it much easier to stay on that train and, therefore, get to our destination……….
Then surely that is a better choice?
Cutting out lots of food groups, avoiding socialising and exercising for hours a week will get us the physical results that we would like, of course.
But if we dislike that journey so much that we do the equivalent of getting off the train and going home…………
Pretty pointless.
The key being to find the optimal ‘train’ for us.
Fast enough that we don’t completely lose interest…………
But an enjoyable enough experience that we ‘stay on —– cough ** it’s leaving from here soon –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply ** cough —–
Much love.
