I was talking some members in the club yesterday about how essentially you can still get ill (or worse) even if you do everything possible to look after yourself.
And this is, of course, true.
But tons of research also shows that it is true the more you look after yourself the lower the probability of a fairly high proportion of ailments.
Looking after ourselves improves our odds of our health being good.
Both physically and mentally.
No matter what we do our physical and mental health might not be where we’d like it to be (and, even then, it’s likely to be ‘less bad’ than if we hadn’t looked after ourselves).
But we can make that less likely.
We can put the odds in our favour.
I get that’s “easier said than done”.
But everything is “easier said than done”.
That doesn’t mean that putting those odds in our favour isn’t worth doing.
