One of the best ‘tools’ we have to communicate regularly with all our ninjas (and others) is Facebook.
It’s a great way to give people the little, but regular support and direction they need.
Rather than loads of info in one go.
But like these emails really.
But it does mean we spend quite a lot of time on Facey.
And, therefore, get exposed to a lot of the negativity on there.
One expression we particularly dislike is FML.
Short for ‘F**ck My Life’ people generally use it when something bad has happened in their life.
But, from experience, we find it to be nearly always used about something entirely avoidable.
Something the person has essentially caused themselves.
The job they hate.
But applied for, got and are making no real attempt to leave.
The ‘useless boyfriend’.
That they’re still going out with.
And so on.
FML is a massively diss-empowering thing to say.
It makes it sound like life is just something that ‘happens to you’.
That we have no control over.
We prefer another FML.
Fix My Life.
You know – what you need to do to get your life where you want it.

You get the idea.
Complaining about our lives is pointless.
Doing something to improve it is the answer.
Much love,
