I used to go to a C of E school.
The same one my nephew and niece go to now funnily enough.
Returning after over 20 years, everything has shrunk 😉
Anyway, I was taught all the bible stuff.
Not a believer now (or at the time particularly), but still remember the stories.
According to the story when Jesus was being crucified he exclaimed “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Which was jolly forgiving of him!

People usually do things for what they believe to be the right reasons.
Very few people deliberately do things that can hurt others.
But, as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Those people who sentenced Jesus to death, whacked the nails in, etc probably thought they were doing the right thing.
Most FitPros set up what they do in such a way that most people end up dropping out.
95% of people who join a gym don’t get the lasting results they joined for.
‘Failing’ in their minds.
That FitPro is setting people up for failure.
Not because that’s what they want.
But because they don’t know any better.
They’re doing what everyone else does (myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you, or a friend, like the sound of something a bit different to something with a 95% failure rate).

Your friends who try to flabotage you………
You know the ones………
Those that are always trying to force cake, biscuits, alcohol, etc on you.
Telling you that you’re “boring” or “have changed” or are making them “feel bad” if you say “no”.
That you should “have a day off”.
Or that “One won’t hurt”.
They are doing what they think is right.
Their ‘Psychological Immune System’ is often protecting them and projecting their own issues outwards.
################
When you come to realise that the people that most people are doing things for what they perceive to be the right reasons………
It becomes much easier to deal with it.
The flabotagers become less of an issue.
You don’t get annoyed with what they’re doing.
You just accept it.
Like bad weather, it becomes something that is just ‘there’.
