We’ve had some cool feedback from Friday’s ‘Wonderful Life’ email.

Really interesting to see both what you guys hold to be important in your life and to see that some are really ‘remembering’ that for the first time in years 🙂

Before I tell you about how we’ve got rid of MattNav – this week’s podcast is out.

It’s with Dax Moy, the world’s most expensive Personal Trainer.

And it’s absolutely awesome.

A must-listen for anyone who’s ever struggled to lose weight, get fit and change their lifestyle.

Search for RISE in iTunes or your podcast software.

Check the video here if you’re not sure what to do.

Or the podcast page here.

So, Matt and I went to a course on The Wirral on Saturday.

Not ‘at’ or ‘in’ The Wirral apparently – you can only be ‘on’ The Wirral’ it seems.

Twas a good day filled with more learning.

But my phone went flat during the day.

So I couldn’t use it’s SatNav to get us out to the motorway.

With trepidation, we resorted to Matt’s SatNav on his phone.

The same one that took us through Stoke and Birmingham on the way to Devon the other week.

And always gives stupid routes.

The one we’ve christened MattNav.

It tried to take me into Liverpool.

Even though we were heading for Macc.

I knew it’s game and we chose to ignore it.

And we made the decision to immediately delete it.

After all – what’s the point in sticking with something that’s clearly not working?

##########################################################

If you have something in your life that’s not worked for you long term in the past, there’s little reason to think it will work this time.

Short term success at something followed by it not working long term, means it doesn’t work.

It might sound blunt, but, if you’re wanting to lose weight now, then everything you have ever tried in the past has not worked for you.

Long term.

Most new people coming to us tell us of things they’ve tried in the past that ‘worked’.

Might be gym, classes, slimming club, diet, etc.

But they regained the weight over time.

To me, that means it didn’t work.

Same with stuff in your personal or work life.

An approach at making changes that hasn’t led to long term success in the past is unlikely to lead to long term success in the future.

Doesn’t mean you are a “failure” or you “aren’t trying hard enough” or “you don’t want it badly enough”.

It’s just that the approaches you’ve used so far weren’t the right ones for you.

And, it’s maybe time to go at it from a different direction.

Like we did with MattNav, ‘delete’ that method from your life.

Much love,

Jon ‘On The Macclesfield’ Hall and Matt ‘On The Buton’ Nicholson

P.S. We’re closing the applications for the January ’28 Day Body Transformation’ this Thursday ahead of next week’s free Briefing Meetings as we’re over applied for.

Remember, these are the last free briefing meetings and the last reduced price trial.

So, if you (or a friend), don’t do it now, you never will.

It’s not for everyone though – it’s application only as we only want to work with those who are serious about changing their lives and bodies and just need the right approach for them and a bit of support.

You can apply at myrise.co.uk/apply.

P.P.S. Got some good stuff for you guys this week – tomorrow’s email is about ‘Ironing while giving birth’ and Wednesdays is ‘Other people’s fridges’
