Some days, by coincidence, we have several people say the same thing to us.

The other day a number of members commented that they’d come to the realisation that they hadn’t made much forward progress recently.

That their heart hadn’t been fully in it.

That they’d been “going through the motions.”

And, whilst we get that forward progress us nice and what we really want………..

‘Going through the motions’ has massive value.

Still doing a form of it, even when you don’t feel like it.

Still doing some exercise and eating pretty well when other stuff in your life goes a bit sideways.

Carrying on when motivation and enthusiasm wane.

‘Going through the motions’ is waaaaayyyyyy better than ‘stopping’.

Or, even worse, sliding backwards.

When we move away from “all or nothing”……….

“On it” or ‘stopped’……..

Towards ‘slowing down and speeding up as circumstance dictates’………..

A mixture of forward progress and ‘going through the motions’…………

That’s when we get there with time!

Much love,

Jon ‘Everybody’s doing the Loco’ Hall and Matt ‘In the Ocean’ Nicholson
