Banging out a blog every day for (goes to check…….) 3,652 days straight isn’t easy. Many, many times over the years, people have asked how I do it. And there’s a number of answers to that question. But a massive part of it is just being willing to put something out. Something that probably isn’t perfect. Something that, if I went back and looked at it, I might make some changes to. But, also, something that I could spend an eternity tweaking and refining before being ready to put it out there. 3,652 pretty good blogs will be much more impactful than a handful (or less – zero being the amount most FitPros have managed) of perfect ones. “Good enough” is good enough. And it’s always better than nothing. Some sort of exercise is always better than none (check www.myrise.co.uk/apply for a form of exercise, and much more, that many have described as the only one they’ve ever enjoyed) Calorie maintenance or deficit of what you could consider unhealthy foods is better than calorie surplus of the same foods. Half the calories for the same amount of alcohol with some tactical swaps is better than doubling the calories. Getting a mixture of fresh foods and processed foods from the supermarket is better than just getting loads of processed stuff. “Good enough” is good enough. Much love, Jon ‘Dodgy’ Hall
