We’ve all used SatNavs, we’re sure.

 

Here’s two bits of info it needs to work out your route.

 

Of course, we need to enter our destination.

 

But, it also needs to know your exact starting position.

 

When we try and work out how to get our lives and bodies to where we want them to go, we often miss out half of the equation.

 

We think about where we want to get to – better body, job, relationships, etc.

 

And we work out a some of the steps to get there.

 

But we often don’t obtain a full understanding of our current location.

 

Where our mindset, habits, beliefs, hopes and fears, etc are.

 

It’s a bit like trying to plot a route to 10 Downing Street from ‘Cheshire’.

 

Rather than from Waterside Mill, Waterside, Macclesfield, SK11 7HG.

 

We know the basic direction.

 

But are unlikely to get off to the best start.

 

The more we know about why we haven’t been going in the right direction before, the better understanding we’ll get of how best to start going the right way.

 

So, if you’re not making the progress you would like, have a good think.

 

Where are you now?

 

What are your mindset, habits, beliefs, hopes and fears, etc with relation to exercise, food and so on?

 

And go from there.
