I’ve mentioned many times in these blogs over the years about conversations that I have with fellow FitPros.
Either online or when I bump into them.
One question, I regularly get at this time of year is the title to this blog.
“Has interest dried up for you too?”
Because, in most cases, they had a number of enquiries right at the start of the New Year………
And that’s significantly slowed down.
As it’s bound to.
That happens for me too.
But only a relatively small proportion of my enquiries come out of nowhere.
Most come from paid ads, organic posts I’ve put on social media, follow up with previous enquiries or former members and so on.
And that’s a year round thing.
Interest is like a plant.
It’ll only dry up if we stop watering it.
If we stop doing the things that need to be done for something to flourish.
And our body is much the same.
Stop exercising it and it will feel worse at some point.
Lower in energy.
Increased aches and pains.
Possibly lowering mood and mental health.
If we stop eating in a calorie deficit, we’ll stop losing weight.
If we’ve been eating in a calorie surplus, we’ll gain it.
Plants, fitness businesses and our bodies are all the same.
Results don’t “just dry up”.
They stop coming because we’ve stopped (or not started) doing the thing that generates them.
And, much like watering a plant, setting up a Facebook ad, writing a blog or creating a post……..
The things that we need to do don’t require a massive amount of time and effort (apply now at www.myrise.co.uk/apply for our 4 week trial if you like the sound of an approach that gets amazing results without massive, hard to sustain changes!).
It’s the little things, that we do daily, that add up that keep that plant, business or body healthy and thriving.
Much love,
‘Dry’ Jon’uary’ Hall
