Did you know that last month was the warmest May on record?
Seriously.
No joke.
I read this the other day and, having Googled it to confirm, I’ve mentioned it to a few people.
And every single person I’ve mentioned it to has disputed it.
It’s true though.
“May 2024’s average mean temperature of 13.1°C for the UK beat 2008’s previous record figure of 12.1°C in a series which dates back to 1884”.
Didn’t feel like it, did it?
But it was.
The facts and data prove it.
Precise measurements trumping opinion.
As they usually do.
Just like when we accurately track our food.
It’s a pretty regular conversation that I have with people where they express that they aren’t sure why they’re gaining (or not losing) weight when they “don’t eat much”………
And then a few days of accurate tracking with something like MyFitnessPal shows they were eating considerably more than they realised.
Or people will dispute the weight loss is primarily down to being in a calorie deficit………
When every super precise test ever done has shown everyone loses weight in a deficit………
And no one has ever been able to prove that they do not lose weight when in a verified deficit.
Opinions are great.
And they have their place.
But sometimes cold, hard data disproves our opinion.
And that’s great.
It means that we get to stop being (probably unknowingly) wrong.
Much love,

P.S. If you’re of the opinion that you don’t have time to exercise and / or it’s boring, then I’d love the opportunity to ‘prove you wrong’ (with a Money Back Guarantee if you’re right —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply
