The RISE Facebook page currently has over 64,000 followers.
—— My / the proper one, not the other one in Macc that’s copied our name and logo and is ignoring letters from my solicitor because they know that, even though I own the trademark, they could outspend me on legal action many times over. They have under 100 followers 🤣 ——–
Other fitness professionals that I’m friendly with sometimes ask about how we got to such a big number.
Especially as what we do is a facility in a small town, not an online “influencer” with global reach.
My answer usually disappoints them.
– I’ve written a blog everyday for over 3,000 days in a row
– I’ve posted other stuff on there many thousands of times
– I’ve had paid ads running pretty much constantly for a decade
– There have many, many thousands of conversations and interactions online
I think they were hoping for something a bit quicker and easier.
Maybe a little “se*ier”.
An answer that requires years of effort is generally not what we’re after.
Butt, in reality, is how we achieve most things that we desire.
We can do short-term more aggressive measures to quickly drop weight………
But the majority of our weight loss and maintenance will come from continued better decisions over years and decades.
And the majority of our health and fitness progress (and maintenance) will come from years of working out for 45 minutes 1 to 3 times a week………
Rather than the occasional weeks of several two hour workouts.
Occasional bursts of quicker forward progress have their place in both growing a Facebook page and in our health and fitness journey.
But the vast majority of our results come from the accumulation of months and years worth of “good enough” decisions and processes.
Much love,
Jon ‘and steady’ Hall
