There are probably things that you’ll have heard of that you might feel “work for some”.
Maybe meditation?
Perhaps journaling?
Recording our wins each day?
More detailed planning?
Different approaches to eating?
Or exercise choices?
And, in some cases, I’m sure we’ve all decided that “doesn’t work for me”.
And I get that.
There’s plenty of things that I’ve decided don’t work for me.
But it’s a useful question to ask……
How long did we spend trying?
When I’ve asked people who’ve said that “meditation doesn’t work for me”, how many times they’ve tried meditating, the answer is normally between zero and three.
For a few minutes each time.
10 minutes total across their life.
With similar answers for the other thing mentioned above.
Even if they’ve done 10 hours of something that’s still about 0.1% of a year.
It’s tempting to give up on something when we don’t see immediate results.
But that’s usually based off unrealistic expectations.
One meditation won’t immediately turn you into a zen like Buddha.
Your mind won’t be instantly empty.
Expecting this will just lead you to be annoyed with yourself when it doesn’t happen.
And then annoyed that you’re getting annoyed.
And give up quickly.
Journaling, recording wins, exercising and different food choices will produce next to zero results when done once.
But they add up.
They accumulate.
And I’ve never yet had someone do these things on regular basis for a sustained period of time but hasn’t felt the benefits and being glad that they did.
Much love,

P.S. Wanting to make 2024 the year that you drop that you finally drop that weight, improve your energy and mood AND keep it going?
Here are three reasons to take action now and reserve your space at RISE for the New Year;
– Get a place – we’ve sold January out in December for 10 years straight and this year will be no different. Leave it till then and you’ll have to wait or end up somewhere less good and getting worse results.
– 2023 prices locked in before the annual price increase
– Rest of the year for free. Even if you don’t do any workouts, you’ll have coaching, support and accountability over Christmas to mean you don’t have even more to undo come January
It’s www.myrise.co.uk/apply to arrange a no pressure, no salesy stuff opportunity to look at the programme and see if we’re a good fit for each other (and for you not to miss out)
