I talked yesterday about getting specific on what we can consider ourselves “too busy” to do.

And, therefore, what we are not “too busy” to do.

Because specifics enable us to make changes better than vagueness ever will.

But it’s human nature to be vague in some areas.

We all do it, myself included.

It’s a skill to train ourselves in to be less vague.

We do it with things that we are, essentially, putting off.

“I’m just not ready” we might say.

“It’s not a good time”

To which we could ask ourselves;

“How will I know that I am ready?”

“How will I know it is a good time?”

Not just vague “feelings”.

Because they are hard to decided if we ‘there’.

Specifics.

What simple Yes-No questions can we ask to show if we are ready, it is a good time, etc?

If we feel we need to be working less hours, how many less hours?

And what’s the plan to make that happen?

If we need to reduce our outgoings, by how much?

And what’s the plan to make that happen?

Same with income.

If we need to have more money saved up, how much money?

And what’s the plan to make that happen?

This might apply to exercise but it could also be about a hobby we’d like to do, a new business venture or side hustle we’d like to launch or expand on or anything else we could end up deferring.

No vagueness.

What is the specific set of circumstances we feel need to be ‘in place’ before we can do whatever it is?

And what’s the plan to make that happen?

And chances are we might be there or closer than we thought already (changing your life and body is only a click away you know? –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply)
