####################################

So, yesterday we mentioned that we would cover how to change some of the thought processes that are holding you back.

We’ve covered this several times before but realise that there’s always new people reading these blogs.

And that coming at something from lots of different ways means more people will find an angle that resonates with them.

The term we often use in ‘Paradigm Shifts’.

But we realise this can often lose people.

All that means is about changing the way you see things.

Your point of view really.

So, if you’re finding some part of your journey (the exercise, food side, etc) difficulty, then try, for a while, changing the way you see it.

Come up with a different ‘angle’ on it, make yourself think about it that way for a while – a day or so.

And, chances are, you might decide this thought process isn’t a good one.

And change to one that is.

Examples:

“I’m going on a diet”

Could become “I’m going to do things for a while that make me feel good and live longer, then I’ll go back to doing stuff that makes me feel worse and may shorten my life”

You wouldn’t do that would you?

But changing the way you think about and describe the same thing puts it in a different light, doesn’t it?

Once you’ve seen this old, limiting thought process, and got rid of it, you might develop a new way of seeing it, such as:

“I’m going to treat my body with respect”

Or “I’m going to stop poisoning myself”

Or “I’m going to eat food that is good for me, not things that are bad for me”

###########################

“Eating healthy and doing exercise costs too much” can change to

“I plan on saving money to get a better TV and car by buying crap food that will make me less happy”.

Say that out loud a few times and see if it sounds like a reason you can keep using.

######################

“I don’t like the idea of cutting down on or cutting out certain foods group could be”

Could become

“I think it makes more sense to eat less real food so that I can eat more man made, processed shite”

########################

“I don’t have time to eat healthily or exercise”

Changes to

“I would rather use the spare time I do have to watch more TV and check Facebook”.

#########################

Makes you think, doesn’t it?

Try changing the way you see what you feel is the main problems you have with doing what you want.

You might decide your original way of thinking was fine – but we think there’s a good chance it’ll help change some of these thought processes for the better.

Much love,
