—————— During the coronavirus situation, we are supporting our members solely online and are, therefore, not taking on any new members until we can return to a mixture of in-person and online support. I have a little bit of an ‘office’ at home.
Just a desk with computer, printer and other worky stuff on in the basement.
The rest of the basement is crammed full of stuff, but the bit I’m facing makes me feel like it’s a proper ‘work station’.
It’s neat and there’s a few things on the wall directly in my eye line to make it seem less ‘Fritzley’.
One of which is a poster from my coaching programme.
A ‘wall o text’ with various ‘reminders’ on.
I was looking at it the other day.
And one of them jumped out at me.
“Produce more than you consume”.
You know, don’t just listen endless podcasts, start loads of books, etc…………
But never do anything with them.
Make something with them.
And produce your own ‘content’.
The realisation that popped into my head was that………..
“I am a farmer”.
Like my father before me (or is that Jedi?).
And my uncles, grandfathers and every other man above me in the family tree.
Except Grandpa’s granddad who was, apparently, a postman.
Farmers take a bunch of otherwise unusable resources and turn them into a final product that is usable by and benefits their customer.
Seeds, water, light, grass, slurry, etc.
Into crops, meat, dairy and the like.
And I, kinda, do the same.
Take all the knowledge and information that’s already out there that most people struggle to use and to implement into their already busy and challenging lives.
And turn that it something they can use.
That can help them get what they want.
These blogs, our daily members only videos, the app and support systems, the in person coaching conversations and so on.
And we help people with their own ‘growth’.
Help them plant the seeds, water them, give them sunlight, pull up those weeds that strangle growth and give them the opportunity to grow.
Helping create the conditions where growth comes naturally.
Rather than berating the ‘plants’ for not growing properly.
You get the point (hopefully).
We’ll farm what is often unusable into something you can use.
And, with our support, you can give yourself what you need to allow what needs to happen to kinda just flow and grow naturally 🙂
Much love,
Jon ‘Giles’ Hall
