This article has been on my ‘to do list’ for nearly a year.
Since a conversation I had with someone on our 28 Day trial at Buxton.
She was telling me what she ate meat wise.
Chicken basically.
I offered that more variety of meats would both get her better results and be more interesting and varied.
She inquired as to what other meats she could eat.
The following is the rest of that conversation, pretty much word for word:
Me: “Well, there’s the obvious ones like beef, lamb, pork and so on”
Her: Incredulous stare
Me: “All your different types of fish”
Her: As above
Me: “Your different types of poultry – you know, Turkey, Duck and so on”
Her: “Duck?”
Me: “Erm, yeah”
Her: “You eat duck?”
Me: “Sometimes”
Her: “A duck? Like you see on a pond?”
Me: “Erm, yeah”
Her: “I can’t believe you’d eat a duck”
Now I’ve done some unusual stuff in my time (prize for anyone that replies with a right guess for the most unusual things I’ve done – you won’t get it by the way) – but I didn’t think eating Duck was particularly outrageous.
I’ve never been called a “Duck eating freak”.
Not to my face anyway

The point of this article is about thinking outside of the box with your food choices.
Don’t feel limited to what we usually eat in this country and what we thing of as “normal” meal choices.
After all “normal” now is is unhealthy and the first generation of children ever that are predicted by some to die before their parents.
A quick Google bring up 49 different meats that we, as humans commonly eat.
42 fish.
35 vegetables.
21 fruits.
Plus dozens of nuts, beans, legumes, etc.
I’m sure there’s more, but I need to crack on.
Multiply those by all the different cooking methods and you need never have the same exact meal again for the rest of you life (ish).
My breakfast this morning was minced beef, carrot, pepper, red onion and brocolli stir fry.
I’d made extra the other night and tupper-wared it up.
Twas yummy!
Much love,

P.S. Tomorrow I’ve got a useful way for you to put the things you have to do in perspective and pick out what is truly important to get you where you want to get to.
And yes, I wrote that on Tuesday too – when I was batching stuff 🙂
