On Wednesday I went for half day session with the guys down at CodeBreak in Shrewsbury.
They are a digital marketing firm and we were looking at some of the ways that I promote RISE.
Before going I read a book that the two owners have written.
And in it, amongst other things, they talk about some of their most successful blog subject titles.
One of which was this one.
“I blame Kevin Costner”
Where they talked about how many people get into business with the expectation that “If you build it, they will come”.
A Kevin Costner quote from the 1993 film ‘A Field Of Dreams’, in case you didn’t know.
In reality, creating enough custom for a business and keeping it going year after year requires an active effort to make people aware of it and why they might want to purchase from it.
It’s not the big things you do at the start.
Or the occasional things along the way.
It’s the little things that are done day after day, year after year that add up.
As is the case in the changes that we might make to our health and fitness.
Sure, we can do our best to get off to a good start.
And we can have periods of quicker progress along the way.
But it’s the little things.
Those individual decisions that don’t really matter by themselves.
But that add up over time.
Building a business isn’t a “one and done” thing.
And neither is building a body we like to look and feel of, increased energy, better health or any other goal really (we’ll help you with all these things. Guaranteed. It’s www.myrise.co.uk/apply to try that out).
Much love,
Jon ‘Water World’ Hall
