So, we had the briefing meeting for our January ’20lbs challenge’ last Thursday.

As always, it was busy, busy, busy!

Dozens and dozens of people ready and keen to transform their lives and bodies.

And, as always, a number of people who weren’t quite ‘in the right place’ to give it a go.

One of the key things we help our ninjas realise when they start is that, in 99.9% of cases, the situation they are in is a direct result of the choices they’ve made in the past.

It’s true of all areas of our lives, but none more so than body fat levels, fitness, health, etc.

Outside of random illness and injuries our body is how it is because of the culmination of every decision we’ve ever made related to food, drink, sleep, exercise, etc.

And it takes a mental shift to realising this before people get truly great results.

When people are still in the habit of blaming the external factors in their life they are unlikely to get great results.

Sometimes we have to be blunt with people to help them realise that.

The other day we were speaking to one of our newer ninjas who hasn’t been making the progress she’d like.

We were talking about the choices she made.

And she responded with “I didn’t choose to get fat”.

And we replied with “Yes you did”.

You could see the penny drop.

You see, whatever our intentions, whatever information we’ve been going off and whatever the situation, we made every single choice along the route to our current bodies and health.

Some choices were hard, sure.

Many we didn’t even realise were choices as we made them.

And some we thought we were doing the right thing.

You know – years of low-fat but sugar laden cereals for breakfast, fruit by itself as a snack, avoiding red meat and so on.

But it doesn’t change the fact that we made those choices.

And when we truly realise that nearly everything in our lives is the culmination of those choices, we are empowered.

We realise that we can make different choices to take us in the direction we want.

Won’t necessarily be easy, but it’s within our power to do it.

Much love,

P.S. We’ve got something a bit lighter for you tomorrow – a little video we’ve been working on 🙂
