You may have seen that, over the last few months, we’ve had a fair number of people join up to what we do (“become ninjas” if you will) while we’re purely online.
And people have been securing places for when we’re back in the club.
Having been running RISE for coming up for 9 years now (and over 19 years in the Fitness Industry), I’ve had a lot of conversations with people considering trying out what we do.
Some start, some don’t.
For those that don’t there are a variety of reasons.
Some that make sense.
Some that, from my experience, boil down to “I don’t trust myself to do it”.
But that’s a separate point.
I might come back to that tomorrow.
Some “need to think about it”.
Some “don’t feel ready to make a decision”.
Which sounds like a valid explanation.
But it’s actually impossible.
To not make a decision.
When we don’t make a decision one way, we’re making a decision the other way.
Any Yes to one thing is a No to another.
And vice versa.
Not making a decision to change………..
Is making a decision to stay the same.
Whatever the situation.
And that’s fine.
If that’s the decision we feel is right for us.
Who would we be to tell anyone otherwise?
But, as with a lot of things, our thoughts can be questioned.
When we realise that we actually can’t “not make a decision”…………
That that is a decision to do the opposite…………..
We might question that.
Whether that be getting cracking as ninja.
Doing a workout.
Eating a certain way.
Or anything else.
We make decisions every second of the day.
And future us might thank present us for making a few of them a little differently.
Much love,
Jon ‘I used to think I was indecisive, but now I’m not so sure’ Hall
