You’ve probably seen we put a lot of stuff on social media.
General posts, adverts, etc.
Member successes, recipes, workouts, etc.
Helps get the message out about what we do.
We often get comments on these posts.
Mostly positive.
Some less so.
It was in response to a dessert recipe.
“I don’t think you should be telling people to eat desserts”.
And we’ve had similar comments over the years.
On posts, in response to our recipe section of our app and site (if you’re a member and haven’t already, go check it out – full ingredients, instructions, nutritional info, MFP entry and barcode, videos for many, etc).

Anyway, back to point.
Firstly, I would never say we’re “recommending desserts”.
It’s not telling people they have to have them.
Just giving them options if they choose to.
Because realistically, most people will.
Most FitPros recommend their approach to life.
Which is largely living like a monk.
Which people can force themselves to do for a week or two.
But, what then happens?
In their own words they “fall off the wagon”.
They have something that’s “not on plan”.
And go back to old habits.
Sure, they would probably get better / quicker results by never having a dessert again (not automatically though).
But, if that approach leads to them not being able to do it, and then hide what they are doing from the person who’s supposed to be helping them, it’s a fairly pointless approach.
By providing dessert recipes with clear and easy to understand nutritional information in a way that’s mega easy for them to track (two seconds to scan the barcode in MFP, about 20 to type in the name and find it)…………..
They can make those choices and make them in a way that they can easily average out for the week.
The people who are happy to never eat desserts again don’t want or need our help.
For those that would like desserts to remain a part of their life, that’s there to help that happen in a way that still produces results.
