💡💡💡

In the last month or so of 2020 I saw a lot of posts on social media along the lines of;

“I hope 2021 is better”

Or;

“Here’s hoping for a better 2021”

In most cases followed earlier this month by versions of;

“I’d like to cancel my subscription to 2021… the 7-day trial has been rubbish”

Now, I get it.

2020 wasn’t the best year for the vast majority.

Myself included.

But the key word there is “Hope”.

If all we have is ‘hope’………..

Then we are, essentially, hopeless.

‘Hope’ is not a strategy.

‘Hope’ relies on something outside of our control changing.

‘Hope’ leaves us powerless.

A victim of our circumstances.

Where life is happening “to me”.

I’m not pretending 2020 didn’t happen or was great.

But if all we have is hope, I doubt 2021 will be much better.

Nearly everyone I saw sharing about how “sh!t 2020 is” have been posting similar sentiments for years.

“2014 can do one”.

“Roll on 2016”.

“Can 2018 get any worse?”

And so on.

So, if you want to rely on ‘hope’ alone, that’s you’re call.

If you want to make it so that 2021 is better……….

Or, at the very least, better than it could’ve been………..

Then what’s your strategy?

What’s the plan?

Much love,
