Do you wanna see what I eat?

You may have seen that we recently ran our first free ‘8 Day Challenge’.

Designed to help people ‘get a hang on’ their eating.

I made it super simple.

All people agreed to do was to submit a screen grab of their MyFitnessPal tracker each day.

Even it wasn’t filled in.

Or half filled in.

Or it had been a “bad day”.

They only committed to the submission of the screen grab.

Which takes a legit 30 seconds.

We can always do that.

Irrespective of what else is going on.

The only reason we can give is “I just chose not to” (AKA “I went back on my word”).

By submitting the screen grab we’re much more likely to actually track our food.

By tracking, we’re much more likely to make better choices.

But we’ve only committed to that minimal amount we can always choose to do.

Or not.

As part of the programme I promised ‘accountability’.

Basically, I’d chase people up if they didn’t do what they said they would.

Which I did.

Most just needed a gentle reminder as it’d slipped their mind.

But a couple explained the challenge wasn’t what they had expected.

They felt there’d be more to it.

Which I get.

It’s tempting to think more is better.

But it’s often not.

Irrespective of the logistical and time challenges of giving more stuff out to 200 people and keeping track of it all………..

If someone wasn’t doing this, more stuff they might not do wouldn’t be the answer.

Losing weight and improving health and fitness can be incredibly simple if we chose it to be.

Easy?

No.

Simple?

Yes.

And if we’re not doing the basics, even more stuff probably isn’t the answer.

Complexity can be tempting.

It seems ‘better’.

But simplicity is key.

Track our food enough to enable us to get the info to start to make some changes that’ll become habit over time.

Book in for and turn up for your RTP sessions (or click this link to find out more about what we do if you haven’t already –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting).

Only when we’re doing that consistently do we need more.

Much love,
