On Wednesday September 29th at 1.30pm at Jessops hospital my second son James (Jamie) Daniel Hall was born.
If you’re at all interested, here’s a recent video of him showing that the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
As a proud father I sent a text out to all my friends and family a few hours later informing them of the birth.
I immediately had several friends text back with the same message – “Why have you named your children after Jamie Oliver?”.
It was a good question.
I hadn’t thought of it that way.
They were going to be ‘Oli and Jamie’.
Twas something of an error though.
We all make mistakes though.
You may have made some on your journey to your target health, appearance, fitness, etc.
You just need to put them in context.
Put them in the past.
Don’t ‘throw the baby out with the bath water’.
Just because you had a “bad weekend” or because the holiday was ‘all-inclusive’ or you finished the biscuit barrel off, whatever else happened, doesn’t mean you should abandon the whole thing.
Next time you err (and there will be countless times over the rest of your life), put it in context with all the good things you’ve done and don’t let it pull you off the ‘wagon’.
Much love,
Jon “If one more person points out that my sons are named after Jamie Oliver, I might cry” Hall
