As I’ve said in these blogs many times, people do leave RISE.

Any facility that pretends otherwise is lying.

One indicator that people see what we do differently, is that a fairly high proportion of people who are cancelling contact me personally.

Talk to me in a Session, drop me a message, etc.

Explaining their reasons for leaving.

Very few just cancel their payment and go ‘radio silence’ like they might with a conventional gym.

Sometimes their reasons are purely logistical.

Sometimes financial.

Often, whatever is happening, it’s underpinned by them not getting the results that they’d like.

The reasons we might give for stopping are rarely insurmountable when we’re changing our body and how we feel in a way that we haven’t by ourselves.

I’ve done this long enough to be able to read between the lines somewhat.

I recently had three people in a row say the same phrase when telling me they were leaving.

One I’ve heard a number of times over the years.

It’s the one in the blog title.

“I really enjoyed the Sessions”.

Which was telling to me.

Because when all we do is do some workouts, our results will only be so good.

Exercise is only one of the four areas we help with – Lifestyle, Adherence and Nutrition being the other three (LEAN System, innit?).

I checked the three members who’d told me that (although I didn’t really need too, I generally know where everyone is up to).

And none of them had even looked at the Learn tab (where everything people need to know about what we do and what will get them the results they want is broken down into 2 to 3 minute bite sized chunks).

They hadn’t set any RISE Plans and used the accountability built into that system.

They hadn’t tracked their food for a few days and got us to take a look.

They’d barely opened any of these blogs.

I’m pretty confident they hadn’t done anything other than some Sessions.

Which, whilst great, are only going to do so much by themselves.

And, if you only do Sessions then, if it gets to the point where you don’t feel you can fit as many in as you’d like, stopping completely becomes very tempting.

So, if you’re a member, and “just doing the Sessions”, then that’s cool.

If you’re 100% happy with the results.

If you’re less than that, engaging with the rest of what we do will get you closer to that.
